Frequently asked questions

Does PDF to Text use OCR?

No. It extracts only existing selectable text. Scanned or image-only PDFs require OCR.

Will the original layout be preserved?

The result is readable plain text with page boundaries, not an exact visual recreation.

What happens when some pages have no text?

Available text is still extracted and the result shows how many pages contained text.

Can I edit the extracted text?

Yes. The result area is editable before copying or downloading the TXT file.
